Best place to buy Groceries before driving to the West Side.
There is a Costco just outside of the Airport. If you have a Costco Membership we recommend that you shop here. Costco has mainland prices and you can buy all the things you need including bathing suits and beach towels. They also have the cheapest fuel prices on the island.
There is a Walmart just Near the Airport. It’s a large Walmart and has everything you might need. When we’re on the island for a short visit, we like to come here to buy regular-size portions, rather than the Costco giant-size packs of food. Also, this is a great place to buy local coffee, baked goods, and tourist stuff.

Kind of like the Maui version of Trader Joe's. Great Poke here. Close to the condo. The prices are a little spendy. Napili Market is about a mile away from the condo.
Whalers General Market is a convenience store on the corner of Hoohui and Lower Honoapiilani Rd, about a block and a half from the condo. It's where the Shell gas station is. They have a little of everything you might need. A little on the spendy side.
Farmers Market – more like a co-op than a grocery store. Good selection of fruits and vegetables. Great local foods. Next to Snorkel Bob’s across from Honokowai Beach Park. 3 -minute drive from the condo or a 30-minute walk.
Tamura's is just down the street from Island Grocery. They have a great selection of beer, wine, and spirits. Some of the best prices on the island. Oh ya... Some of the best Poki on the island too!
Island Grocery Depot is about 10 minutes away by car, in Lahaina.
When we are at the condo, we like shopping here for fresh veggies and fruit. A great selection and they seem to be cheaper than Safeway and Times Markets.
Safeway is about 10 minutes from the condo. It’s just like Safeway’s on the Mainland. We try not to go to Safeway because it’s very expensive. Don’t be shocked if you pay $9.00 for a gallon of milk. We try to do most of our grocery shopping in Kahului. The savings are worth the trip.
Times Market is about 5 minutes from the condo. It’s an Island Grocery Store chain. Like Safeway, it’s very expensive. You’ll be shocked at how little $100 will buy you. We try to do most of our grocery shopping in Kahului. The savings are worth the trip.
