Half-Day Snorkel Tours in Ma'alaea
Snorkel Operators out of Ma'alaea
Here are a couple of Snorkel Operators that we recommend. We make these recommendations because we believe that they are good Stewards of the Ocean and provide an exceptional snorkel experience.
Pacific Whale Foundation
When guests are in town, we like to go on one of many Pacific Whale Foundation Snorkel Tours. We recommend either the Honolua Bay or Lana'i Snorkel & Dolphin Watch Tours. What we like about these tours, is that you get to do some sailing and snorkeling.
"PacWhale Eco-Adventures is based on nearly four decades of marine research and ecotourism experience. Every trip is led by certified Marine Naturalists who provide a truly unique, educational, and fun adventure at sea. Watch wildlife in their natural habitat, snorkel Molokini, Lanaʻi, and Honolua Bay, and enjoy a relaxing sunset dinner, cocktail, or stargazing cruise. We offer the most options on Maui and earn the highest ratings by travel sites and guidebooks. We also provide private charters and wedding cruises."
The best part is that all profits support Pacific Whale Foundation’s research, education, and conservation programs to save whales, dolphins, and our oceans.
We enjoy this company too. You'll board off the beach in Ka'anapali beach by Whaler's Village. It's kind of a cattle call with lines of people getting on the boat, but once you're on the boat, it's a pretty great trip. They offer several tours. They have an Xpress Snorkel tour, an Afternoon Tour, and A Half Day Tour for snorkeling.
Other Snorkel Charters
The reality is that most snorkel companies are pretty much the same. They all offer some sort of environmental awareness talk, a little Maui history, and food and beverage. Some are on Sailboats, others on go-fast RIBs (Ridged Hull Inflatables). Everyone says they go to Turtle Town. Spoiler Alert, there are several Turtle Towns. Maui has an abundance of Sea Turtles. The Snorkel Tours do book up fast. Here are a few options that depart out of Lahaina Harbor.
